Final leg of the journey: #Uber to the hotel. Can’t wait to be like Die Hard and take off my shoes and socks and make firsts with my toes.

And just like that, I’m now in Rhode Island. That was a lot quicker than I thought it would be. Yet, I’m also not due into Providence for about 45 minutes.

And now for the lengthy part of my journey: some little Connecticut is the forever state when driving through, or riding on a bus through as is the case now.

After leaving Port Authority four minutes late, we wound our way through the city until suddenly: The Bronx.

Torn between people watching and doing one of the crossword puzzles I have. Been so long since I’ve been able to sit back and watch city life, probably since I last lived here 17 years ago.

Next up: long bus ride to Providence. Got dinner, coffee and water. I’m all set for the next couple of hours. #RILaxClassic

Almost into Manhattan. Just booked my bus ticket for the next leg of my trip to #RILaxClassic. Hope to have time to grab something to eat for the ride.

My journey to #RILaxClassic begins. Waiting for the railroad into Manhattan; just like old times. I don’t miss this.

Enjoyed a bike ride to #JonesBeach to relax with a #crossword puzzle and a book. Staying hydrated and very much enjoying a #Sam76

I feel like I’m playing a lacrosse drinking game: take a sip during a lull. Unfortunately, it’s after the other team scores so far. And it’s half time and I’m out.

I thought this #Mets game was live until I saw it was a #classic from 11 years ago. Now they show Johann Santana. #WonderNoMore

Last night, I felt like I was cleaning five hundred yards of shit-smelling foulness, as I cleaned the length of one gutter along my garage. #ShawshankRedemption

Am I really supposed to believe that the dads at the 3rd Grade #LittleLeague #softball game are drinking coffee out of those travel mugs?

Debated about getting one beer or two for the train; asked and answered as I finished the first at the next stop (#relax it’s an express).

At least I made it from work to Hicksville, and can enjoy the @nytimes and a @BluePointBrewer to get to the Mets game, even if I’m standing.

I know it’s been a while, but $9.75 to go to Woodside, off peak?!? I must be getting old, I think I remember $4.75.

It’s so nice, and been a while since I’ve worked at a real place, with regular raises, and bonuses. Even if they skipped last year, my first, since I’m used to going without.

In the midst of another weekend of kids' sports. Enjoy the kids playing, not necessarily the parents.

Yep, that’s my daughter yelling “One out, play’s to first base” after a girl strikes out in coach pitch little league softball.
